Knit’s Disciples of the Apocalypse (also known as Kapoks BattleClan) was an online-gaming battle-clan based primarily in Europe.
The clan was last active in 2011, hosting 1v1 StarCraft II tournaments and casually playing World of Tanks. The last competitive action was in 2010 when Kapoks.CSS were participating in the now defunct CounterStrike: Source ClanBase ladder.
Since 2011, all of the members that formed the player-base went their separate ways and the leader went into exile from the gaming community.
Kapoks was originally established in 2002, on August 15th, under the leadership of Richard “The Knit” Knight. Originally based on C &C Yuri’s Revenge, the expanded edition of C &C Red Alert 2, the clan enjoyed many months of activity, forging its roots in Real-Time Strategy (RTS) gaming and its familiarity within the associated communities.
During its greatest period of sustained success, from 2003 to 2004, Kapoks could boast a large reputable member base that frequently sought recognition both on C &C Red Alert 2 and on C &C Renegade, most notably in June 2004 when the Red Alert 2 regiment topped the XCC Community Ladder as champions.
After a resurgence in playing First-Person Shooters (FPS) that lasted several years, initially spearheaded by a greatly successful stint on Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, the clan regiment for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars eventually added to Kapoks’ competitive accolades with impressive displays in ClanBase’s Summer 2008 and Spring 2009 tournament seasons.
